We're here at last...

Hello friends! We made it safely late last night and spent our first and only day doing some touring. We climbed up a different part of the Gre&t W!ll today than our last visit. We also were able to walk around the Olympic green. What an amazing thing to see the Bird's Nest and the Cube...they are literally huge. We were mostly in a sea of people today as it was the last day of a three day holiday here. So, tourists were few, but locals were many.

It was nice because it rained pretty hard the night we got in so today the skies were much clearer than our last visit. My other observation compared to 3 years ago is that there were many more cars on the road, and less bicycles. Our guide told us that is the new status symbol for young married folks...apartment & then car. When we were here last the concept was tv and then clothes washer...so obviously the country prosperity level is going up since the value of the wish list is increasing.

So, on to the most exciting part...tomorrow we get to meet Matt. I am both excited and nervous and wondering how he will react. Hopefully, we will be able to post pictures tomorrow. I had to go through a special filter blaster to get this through and it does not allow for pictures. Maybe they have put even stronger filters in their system since our last visit:( Please PR&Y for His blessings upon our day and first encounter.

Thanks so much for all your pr%yers thus far...there have been several upsets on our trip all ready that seemed as though He made a way through them.
All our love to y'all!!
