Summary of days gone by...

So, CJ or Nana or Ruthie have posted some pics so I will comment on them...thanks guys and gals. Our last days in Nanchang came to a close with our guide you can see pictured there. His name is Coby and we had a very fun time with him! Matt did fairly well on his first plane ride, but did not enjoy the seat belt thing at all! He is a pretty rough and tumble all boy sort of guy, watching the airplanes line up and the suitcases get loaded were all pretty exciting. But, it is often hard to get him to stay near us...he is pretty ready to wander all over, so crowded situations can be tiring for all as he does not always want to hold hands, so we have had several break down moments where we are an eye and ear sore carrying a screaming child through different locations. So, you can continue to pr*y for bonding...as I think he thinks we're OK when we feed him, when I comfort him and sleep next to him and we play...but other times I'm sure he'd rather trade us in.

You can see him pictured with lao hu (tiger). Nana sent this one for him and it is his favorite to sleep with. We look at pictures of our family and home each night with Matt and also his foster family too. These are sweet, but sad moments for him...but they are getting better each day...he likes to talk about all the pictures and is getting better at saying everyone's names. He really is a sharp cookie!

Matt is enjoying all the families here that are on their final phases and are working through the same agencies. In addition to our 11 families, we have 2 guides, one assistant, and a student intern. So, we are quite a group! Some very amazing people to work with and families to interact with. It is awesome how our Papa has united us here with a similar vision. More than half of the families here have 3-4 kiddos all ready at home and are bringing a new kiddo home with some type of special needs. There are some lovely people here with similar faith visions that just make one's heart leap for joy at the new life offered to these kiddos and a relationship with our Papa.

Some other photos posted are our trip to the Buddist Temple...this was the biggest one I have ever been to...many chambers leading into deeper levels with more buddhas to offer prayers to. I had lots of thoughts and ponderings here as I have had the chance to interact with several local people and share my belief system...the culture here is so different from our own that it has really caused me to pr@y for the people that have long term relationships and influence...as those are the folks that have the most opportunity for changing hearts...if you get my drift.

We have 3 days left in our journey here before the new one begins of adding a new family member on the home front. We are thankful for all your meditations on our behalf. We are thankful to our Papa and His perfect timing and how He will weave all these families into beautiful portraits that will effect others to see His BIG heart for all!! Enough said for now:O)
